Since my internship at the Duluth News Tribune ended I have been tapped for a couple freelance stories by them. Here is a link to my author page on their website for freelance work.
The story about Sgt. James Joseph Hubert came via previous story I had written for the DNT concerning a WWII veterans story, and I must say it was again my pleasure to help record some of the history that makes us who we are today.
As part of my being awarded the Larry Oakes Scholarship for the 2016-2017 academic year, I was given an internship at the Duluth News Tribune. While there I was asked to write and report a variety of different articles. I honestly enjoyed writing them all and it was a thrill to see when one would make the front page. Out of all of them though, the chance to speak with Bill Carlson, and have him tell his tale was a stand out.
